Luxury Llandudno Hotel development spurs a Seafront Super Casino by Royal Appointment!
In 2015/16 the AA Hotel of the Year for Wales, St George’s Hotel embarked on a rooftop development scheme to create an additional 5 luxury penthouse suites on the 4th floor of the hotel, in February 2016 planning permission was finally granted and so starts an amazing turn of events!
The five additional bedrooms, 50 feet above the Promenade, due for completion in 2017 will be some of the most luxurious ever created in Wales and will enjoy spectacular panoramic views across the Bay of Llandudno and beyond. It was in the appointing of a world renowned interior design company that brought Llandudno to the attention of Albert II, Prince of Monaco and his wife Charlene, Princess of Monaco who have used the same company to design rooms in their Monaco Palaces.
Royal connections in North Wales are easy to find and with Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge having a prominent and well publicised affection for the region. The Monaco Royal Family were keen to capitalise on the splendours of this beautiful and prosperous region prompting Prince Albert himself to send one of his most trusted and efficient business advisors, Louis Ducruet to visit Llandudno in an effort to quickly finalise plans for a ‘Monaco Style’ Super Casino. After an unprecedentedly smooth adoption of the plans by both Conwy County Borough Council and Mostyn Estates the development of the Llandudno Seafront Super Casino should start as early as July 2016.
Monsieur Ducruet proudly said, ‘The Monaco Royal Family are extremely pleased that all plans have been accepted and work is to start so quickly.’ He continued, ‘The development of the Llandudno Pier Pavilion Theatre, next to the Grand Hotel will make way for the Super Casino and will be an historic moment for North Wales.’
The 24-hour attraction will also showcase a rare and wild animal show featuring Bengal Tigers, Zebras and the only 6-meter Anaconda in the Northern Hemisphere.
Any possible negativities regarding how the Llandudno Promenade and the subsequent dramatic increase in car parking spaces resulting from the explosion of traffic and visitors to the Casino have been quickly subsided by Conwy County Borough Council by the announcement that a new multi-story car park will also be built to cope with the influx of vehicles.
The new 5 story, state of the art facility will be perfectly located to allow easy access for visitors to the Casino. A Conwy County Borough Council spokesman said, ‘We are pleased to announce that the state of the art car parking facility will take pride of place on top of the Great Orme.’
Reservations for the five new Penthouse Suites at St George’s Hotel are being taken now along with the continued bookings of the hotel’s other 76 luxury bedrooms. The Sales and Marketing function of St George’s hotel cannot confirm any further details on when Casio bookings are bein taken.
